- Given to William Somner by Richard Knowler (c.1601–1660) of Herne, Kent, in 1658. Knowler is recorded in Alumni Oxonienses as 'Lincoln Coll., matric. 22 Jan., 1618-19, aged 16 (subs. "Knoller"), B.A. 26 June, 1622; M.A. from Pembroke Coll. 3 May, 1625.'[1]
