Inscription on verso of front free endpaper: For the Librarie at Christe Church in Canterburie by ML. ['ML' = Martin Lister.]
Lister records his visit to the Bibliothèque Ste Geneviève in his Journey to Paris in the Year 1698. He may have bought this book on this occasion.[1]
