Inscription on front free endpaper: Christ's Church Canterbury. Mr Daniel Tilden our Lesee of the Rectory of Cranebrooke gave Twenty Shillings to buy an English Book for our Library. With which Money this Book was bought Price 1£=4s=6d. The remaining 4s=6d paid by the Treasurer of the Church.
Bought with money given by Daniel Tilden (1684–1741), a lessee of the Cathedral in Cranbrook, probably on the occasion of renewal of his lease. See CCA-DCc-BB/13/180.
