William Brame Elwyn, D.C.L. (c.1744–1841) was the eldest son of Alderman Thomas Elwyn of Canterbury (died 1788). He was educated at the Queen's College, Oxford (1781; B. and D.C.L. 18070), barrister of the Middle Temple (1805).[1] For many years he was Recorder of Deal, and a magistrate for Middlesex.
