Anthony Lukyn

Anthony Lukyn (1727–1778), son of John Lukyn of Canterbury, was educated at Christ Church, Oxford (1744; B.A. 1748; M.A. from King's College, Cambridge, 1773), ordained priest, 1753. Vicar of Reculver and Hoath, Kent (1762) and Rector of St Mildred and All Saints, Canterbury (1772). Died Nov. 12, 1778, aged 51.[1]

The Catalog of American Portraits records a painting of him in oils by John Wollaston (c. 1710 - c. 1767) held by the Deerfield Academy, Massachusetts.[2]
