The Rev. Joshua Stratton (d. 1864), was educated at New College, Oxford (1816, B.A. 1819, M.A. 1823), ordained 1822, was the Cathedral's Sub-Librarian and later the Precentor. He was appointed vicar of Halston, Kent, in 1825 and of Goodneston with Graveney, Kent, in 1842.[1]
