Maurice Barrowe

Maurice Barrowe of Barningham (1597–1666) was the Dean and Chapter's Suffolk Receiver in the period before the Commonwealth and after the Restoration. He was a member of Parliament in 1643. In 1660, he wrote to the Dean and Chapter to try to regularise the lease of land belonging the the Chapter which he had purchased during the Interregnum. Another letter is recorded concerning his leases in 1665.

His gift is recorded in the Benefactors' Book (f. 113v) and can be dated to c. 1636 as it is listed in the 1638 list of printed books but not in the 1634 inventory.
