Thomas Pierce. Decad of caveats to the people of England, ... by Thomas Pierce .... 1679.
Inscription on title page: Liber Ecclesiæ Christi Cathedralis Metropoliticæ apud Cantuarienses, Ex dono Authoris. Φρόνει ἐις τὸ σωφρονεῖν.
Thomas Pierce (1632–1691) was appointed a Canon of Canterbury (Stall VII) in 1660. He presumably gave a copy of his book to the Chapter Library on publication in 1679, after his appointment as Dean of Salisbury in 1675.
The Greek motto is from Romans, 12:3.
