William Charke

William Charke (d. 1617), Puritan controversialist, was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge (1560; BA 1562–3; MA 1566; fellow from 1566). [1]

Charke signs his books in Latin Sum Gul. Charci; the signature on the 1557 Aeschylus is a Greek version of this.
