The Canterbury Clerical Book Society seems to have been a mid-19th-century institution. A search on Google Books shows several volumes of the Library of Anglo-Catholic Theology from 1841 to 1843 where the Society is found in the list of subscribers.

The Chapter Library has 131 items with the printed label of the Society.[1] Of these, 52 books have a printed label saying that they were bequeathed by the Revd Thomas Brockman, vicar of St Mary's, Sandwich.

No entry could be found for the Society on the Access to Archives database (January 2012).
