Luigi Cassano Serra

Luigi Cassano Serra (1747-1825), 4th Duke of Cassano, Marquess of Rivadebro, sold his library by 1820 to Lord George John Spencer (1758 – 1834), 2nd Earl Spencer, whose library was itself sold in 1892 by the 5th Earl Spencer to Mrs Ryland and is now at the John Rylands University Library.[1] Earl Spencer sold Cassano and other duplicates at several sales.[2]

The Duke of Cassano had an engraved armorial bookplate:
