Norton Knatchbull

Sir Norton Knatchbull (1602–1685) was educated at Eton College and St John's College, Cambridge. He was knighted and made a baronet in 1641 and was a Member of Parliament for New Romney from 1640 to his death. The Benefactors' Book records that he gave a collection of Greek liturgies (f. 104r):

As this entry does not mention his new title, it can be assumed that the gift was made before mid-1641 but after the 1638 inventory which does not list these books.
