Daniel Tilden (1684-1741), a lessee of the Cathedral in Cranbrook.

Daniel Tilden gave money for the purchase of a book for the Cathedral Library, probably on the occasion of renewal of his lease.

Inscription on front free endpaper: Christ's Church Canterbury. Mr Daniel Tilden our Lesee of the Rectory of Cranebrooke gave Twenty Shillings to buy an English Book for our Library. With which Money this Book was bought Price 1£=4s=6d. The remaining 4s=6d paid by the Treasurer of the Church.
