Percy 'Jack' Maple (1899–1983) worked as the Cathedral's bookbinder both before and after the second World War. Books which he bound before the war were typically signed 'P. Maple'; later he signed them with an 'M' within the year date.
He was succeeded by Jim Wayre.

- Deposited with the parochial archives of St Clements, Sandwich, in 1958.
- Bound by Jack Maple in the Cathedral Library bindery in 1967 (inscription at foot of front pastedown: '19M67').
