Inscription on fourth front free endpaper: In fulfilment of the intentions of Bishop Jebb, to whom this copy of Dr. Towson's works belonged, and who designed it for a critical student of the sacred Volumes, - these volumes, long out of print, are presented to the Rev. Thomas Brockman, Vicar of St. Clement, Sandwich, by his sincere friend Charles Forster, Feb. 1. 1826.

Presentation label on front pastedown: Bequeathed by Rev. T. Brockman, late vicar of Saint Mary, Sandwich.
Presented to the Rev. Thomas Brockman by Charles Forster (1789-1871), Six Preacher and former chaplain to John Jebb (1775-1833), Bishop of Limerick. Forster was the brother-in-law of Benjamin Harrison's wife Isabella.[1]
